Buddhism played a strong role in the Anuradhapura period, influencing its culture, laws and methods of governance. Society and culture were revolutionized when the faith was introduced during the reign of DevanampiyaTissa this cultural change was further strengthened by the arrival of the Tooth Relic of the Buddha in Sri Lanka and the patronage extended by her rulers. After complete proceed to Dambulla En route visiting to UNESCO World Heritage listed, DambullaGolden cave temple complex.

Minneriya National Park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population dwelling in forests of Matale, Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee districts. Some reports account number of elephants to as high as 700. Tourists visit Minneriya largely because of elephants, especially in dry season

After breakfast visiting to the lion' rock segiriya. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477-495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure Sigiri the Lion Rock. The capital and the royal palace were abandoned after the king's death. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. It is one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning. It is the most visited historic site in Sri Lanka. After lunch proceed to bird watching and safari tour to Kawdulla national park. Kaudulla National Park is a national park on the island of Sri Lanka located 197 kilometers (122 mi) away from the largest city, Colombo. It was designated a national park on April 1 2002 becoming the 15th such area on the island. Along with Minneriya and Girithale BirdLife International have identified Kaudulla as an Important Bird Area. Historically Kaudulla was one of the 16 irrigation tanks built by King Mahasen. Following a period of abandonment it was reconstructed in 1959. It now attracts and supports a variety of plant and animal life, including large mammals, fish and reptiles.

After lunch proceed to elephant ride or village tour then drive to Kandy. En route visit to the spicy garden at Mathele to see the different spices and visit to mathele ancient temple. After breakfast proceed to NuwaraEliya, this drive takes around two and a half hours through the scenic country side. En route visit toPerediniya royal botanical garden,Rambodda water falls&sribaktha hanuman temple. After check in to the hotel take a tour of the colonial town of NuwaraEliya. Have a brief insight into how the world famous Ceylon Tea is created at a tea factory and plantation site.

After breakfast proceed to Horton Plains and commence walking inside the Park. Horton plains national park is undoubtedly one of the worlds best nature reserves. The park is also home to a wide variety of flora and 24 species of mammal such as elk, deer, giant squirrel, wild boar, wild hare, porcupine and leopard. For bird enthusiasts, there 87 species (14 of which are endemic), including many migratory birds. The Plains also feature many interesting attractions such as Bakers Falls, Chimmini Pool and the famous World End. On completion return to hotel & overnight at NuwaraEliya.
After breakfast, head towards the Yala. En route, visit to dowe ancient temple, rawana waterfalls, ella gap and nature walk to little adams peak. Little Adams Peak whether considering the word Little it is named after the sacred Adams Peak (Sri Pada where the foot print of Lord Buddha is preserved) regarding the similarity between the two mountains. Therefore the mountain was called as Little Adams Peak.After completing, drive to Yala.

After an early breakfast, proceed on a full day safari tour at the world famous Yala National Park. It has the highest density of Leopards in the world, and also home to Elephants, Crocodiles, and dozens of birds.
